Hi!
I recently purchased a used 2017 Honda Accord Sport with the 2.4L 4 cylinder CVT engine from a dealership. It has 53k miles on it and is aesthetically in very good condition (not that that matters). The car has been amazing to me so far (knock on wood, only put about 1k miles on it since purchase).
The only thing i worry about is the vibration when the A/C is on. I notice it a lot when the car is idling but not when im actually moving. When im idling its very noticeable. It doesnt vibrate constantly, but seems to come and go between intervals of a handful of seconds (~30). Is this normal, something i should be aware of but isnt crucial to the overall health of my car, or something i should be concerned about and have addressed ASAP?
Thanks in advance for any info or advice!
Usually a sign of a dirty throttle body, I would try cleaning yours. If that doesn’t fix it then check the bolts holding your compressor on, make sure they are in all the way. If it continues then you may have a shaft or bearing issue in the compressor. Earlier models had shaft issues but I think the newer ones they had fixed that.
Also check the compressor mount to see if any bolts have come loose. I've had that happen.
