Hey Scotty my name is Nathan and I’m having troubles with my 2006 Daytona Dodge Charger rt. It starts up fine but after while it will shut off on me while driving and I fixed the PCM, spark plugs, alternator, battery, 8 ignition coils, Throttle body, and the crankshaft sensor twice. And it still shuts off and my friend can’t figure it out and need help and ideas because were lost now. We looked at the harness and it looked ok nothing seemed to be messed up or anything. The codes that come up is lost communication to PCM/ECM and transaxle control system malfunction. Got any ideas to help me solve this problem?
Are you getting a code that says "lost connection to the ECU"? Or is your scantool losing communication with the ECU? I would check ALL the fuses related to engine management, check the fuel pump relay, and check all the harnesses throughout the engine that connect to the ECU. Is the check engine light on when you first start the car or does it come on after it dies?
Does your car shut off when it gets to operating temperature?
When it shuts off, does it come back immediately when you start the car again?
