Carbon buildup Kia soul

Hello, i have 12 Kia soul with little over 100k miles and i have big carbon build ups on the valves of the car. Would post pictures if possible?
I heard about Gdi engine cleaner spray by Crc that is supposed to be sprayed in intake manifold pass the MAF sensor. So saying pass MAF means at the throttle body at the butterfly valve somewhere?Has anyone ever done it? Does it help?
Thanks

Ya may wanna try  2 cans of seafoam in the gas first. My brothers mini-cooper was having the carbon build up start to cause some misfires. He loaded in 2 cans of Seafoam and amazingly after about 50 miles of mixed driving and high speed the misfires stopped. Dumps a can in now every 1000 miles. His car has over 170k on it.
