I heard from another Youtuber (can I mention names?) that he thinks fuel injection cleaner is only really good to decarbon the engine. So I suppose if that's true then the best time to use it would be before an oil change.
He didn't htink it was strong enough to clean the injectors or decarbon the valves on indirect injection engines. But it's all swings and roundabouts because Scotty Kilmer has proven that isn't true with the products he recommends. Shame we can't get them in the UK. I think there's a plan there.
