hello I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant 2.4L automatic I have changed the alternator 3 times and the battery 4 times I'll admit I used used alternators 2 times and the last time I spent the big money for a new one still having the same problem. What other issue could it be at this point? One of the pulleys is making noise but I can't figure out which one could that be the issue as well?

Thank you for describing the steps you took to address your issue, but you need to tell us what the actual problem is. What are the symptoms your car has? And have you measure your voltage. Thanks.

I can't begin to imagine why anybody would buy used alternators.  I buy mine at the local supplier and have it tested before I even leave the store, and get a limited, lifetime warranty.

Why the down vote Proudfather2020? We are trying to help based on your information.

So what exactly is the problem?  Is the battery not getting a charge?  Is there not sufficient voltage to run the vehicle's systems? For what reason(s) do you keep replacing the alternator?  I would check carefully for loose, corroded and missing grounding connections.

If the symptom is that the battery is flat when you go to start the car, you should be looking for a battery drain, which has become a common problem on our electronics-everywhere new vehicles

You need to fix that noisy item irrespective of the alternator problem, as bearings first get noisy, then they seize up, which could cause significant damage.
