Car choking/stuttering at 1.5k-2k RPM

I have a 1995 LS400, with 134,457k miles with auto transmission, and 4.0L v8. The problem started while driving at about 20-30mph and then traction control turned off and the engine sounded like it was chocking/stuttering at 1.5k-2k RPM. After the engine gets warmed up then the choaking stops but traction control is still off no matter what. Im clueless on this one.

  • When the computer sense is a problem, it turns the traction control off automatically. So I'll find a good mechanic like myself to get a big scanner. Hook it up and see what the problem is. And realize, since it's so old almost 30 years old, it's going to require a good mechanic because the data coming out of those old ones is nothing compared to the new ones, making it much harder to discover problems that exist
