Change tranny fluid at 170,000 and belt?

Scotty I have a 2013 Chevy Camaro 1LT with 170,000 miles and have only had to repair the blend air door, flush radiator at 92,000 miles (rec. maintenance) and oil changes every 5,000 miles. Nothing else and no problems. Amazing. It was all highway driving but now I'm retired. Should I change tranny fluid and timing belt? Again no problems. Camaro has not been in NY snow. I bought a Ki Rio to drive in the snow. Camaro is automatic transmission.

If timing belt is original it is most likely overdue for changing. (Check your owner's manual but most vehicles need the belt changed at 60K-100K mile intervals.)

See the FAQ for information on changing transmission fluid.

At 170,000 miles if you have never ever changed the transmission fluid then I would not risk changing it now.  Realize also you’ve sealed the fate of your transmission by not changing the fluid all these years.
