2012 Dodge Journey Crew
Someone asked me How I ever changed a catalytic converter?
I know it sits underneath the vehicle body right about center and it between sensors and those sensors could be giving me the P0420 CR2016, 2017
Codes related to the catalytic converters are almost always the symptom, not the cause. The catalytic converters are pretty much designed for the lifetime of your car; hence they're frequently installed with the exhaust manifolds as one piece. A through troubleshooting is necessary in order to find the root cause. It could be bad oxygen sensors, vacuum leaks...
Thank you

This is a new question and per forum rules should be posted as a new topic, I've split it off for you.
Depending on the vehicle there may be more than one catalytic converter and they can be built into the exhaust manifold as well as being located underneath the vehicle. There are many things that can cause the P0420 code, it may not be the converter.

There is also troubleshooting information in the site FAQ.
(CR2016 and 2017 do not come up as OBD2 codes using a quick online search.)
Thank you 🙏🏽
I’ll get back with you on codes I might of put them in wrong.
Good night
