I have a 2018 GMC Sierra with 85,000 miles and I use 0W-20 synthetic oil as specified. I keep reading online car owners and mechanics about changing oil specs to use 5W-30 synthetic oil due to lifter failure on 5.3 engines. Is that the smart play and if I do change oil specs will I ruin my engine. Please let me know. Have a nice day.
