I have a 2017 Camry I4 with 230,000 miles and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The driver-side door lock is not 100% broken, but it stops working after 10 minutes. It won't unlock with the remote or the inside electric button. To get in, I have to climb through the passenger side and manually force the driver's door lock switch with my finger. It feels very stiff and has a lot of resistance. Once I use my hand to loosen it up and force it open, it works perfectly with the remote or button for a short time. However, after 10 to 15 minutes of sitting, it jams up again and stops working. I already tried using penetrating oil, but it didn't help. How do I fix this problem
Strange issue. Sounds almost as if it's forcing itself locked. What's interesting is the time component. Power locks used to have bimetallic thermal breakers that would open when they heated up. Anyway , I would not exclude electrical issues. Unfortunately these modern systems have become quite complicated and require all kinds of dealer equipment.
