I own a 2002 Lexus ES 300 with 102K original miles on it. I regularly change the oil myself. I’d like to change the transmission fluid myself also. I had a mechanic last do it at 50K miles. If I follow Scotty’s method of replacing the amount that comes out when opening the drain plug does anyone know how approximately much of the fluid will come out? I want to buy enough from Toyota. Thanks!

Whatever you do, remove the filler plug FIRST, then the drain plug.

I would think your tranny has a dipstick being its a 2002.
Yes, thankfully it has a dipstick. Thanks!
