Are there any decently priced and fun reliable cars that anyone would recommend. I currently own an hhr and it's not super fun but it gets the job done. It would be a lot more fun with a manual transmission. Would anyone recommend any particular cars?
Try a Ford Mustang. You could find a cheap older mustang with a v6. Those v6s are terrible. You could try a v8 but it's little more pricy and reliable.
Very good suggestion, the 1999-2004 mustang always caught my eye. My friend had a gt convertible in highschool. That engine was basically a suped up crown vic engine. The only thing holding it back was the 4 speed auto but that tranny was decently reliable. Thanks for the suggestion.
V8 Mustangs before 2011, Mazda Miata, Honda Civic Si or older Type R, S2000, F-body Trans Am/Camaro.....there are a few.
Just realize that with older cars comes age related repairs.
Yeah that is a very good point, I live in tge Midwest so I'd have to find someone that took care of the underbody and has a solid frame.

Any older 5/6 cylinder turbocharged manual Volvo (like a C30 T5) is reliable and can be lots of fun.
(avoid the automatics (on some cars they were the weak spot), and run form the Dual clutch automatic ones)
Interesting I didn't know how reliable their cars were, I'm guessing the old ones being more reliable.

older Volvos are very reliable cars, they were great until 2014/2015.
Hondas with manuals and a VTEC engine come in many price ranges, and ca be a lot of fun. Plus easy to customize for more fun of various sorts.
Yeah that has been my thought for awhile the only thing stopping me from getting a honda is paint failure and the si is pretty pricey on tge used market. I think a mid to late 2000's civic with a manual could be fun.
If you want to have good old fashion FUN
Track down a 72 to 76 V W Beetle!
Parts are plentiful and they are just plain fun!
I had a 63, It's amazing how fast 36 HP will go! {pear}
That will be very hard to find but thanks for the suggestion? Any more modern suggestions preferably 2000s
Depending on how much money you want to spend, you can consider Mazda Miata, Honda S2000, Civic Si, Civic Type R.
The miata or si is probably the only one in my price range. S2000s are really sought after and the type r is decently pricey just because it's a new car and they are sought after a lot.
Miatas and Civic Si's are also relatively easy to work on, and parts are reasonably priced and available most everywhere.
Ik I'm totally leaning towards an si for that reason. Ik the miata is better for handling but the si is faster, there aren't too many curvy fun roads in my area. I live in the Michigan so I get some snow and fwd might be the way to go. Ik that civic si's get pretty abused, should I be worried in getting one?
I loved driving my little 2004 scion XB. They are a fun to drive clown car that my 6 foot 5 friend fit in with extra headroom.
The things are super simple and reliable, surely not fancy. Great for around town driving and zipping in a parking space. It was always exciting trying to get that 1.5 Liter 108 HP engine up to speed coming on to an interstate! Gas mileage was great, I got up to 39 mpg!
People have different views of fun in a car.
