On my Toyota Yaris 2007 with 170k miles, the brake pedal is soft. The normal free play is 6 mm. I have to push the pedal about twice or thrice deeper in order for the brakes to engage and start stopping the car. I could not find fluid leaks, the next step is to check for air in the brake lines (the previous owner did brake change and I suspect they did not fully bleed the system). Do I have to separately do the bleeding for the master cylinder and for every wheel?

No just do right rear, left rear, right front, left front in that order. I use a MightyVac.
Thanks. I use a cheaper version of MightyVac from Harbor Freight.
It's all good as long as it works.
