2007 "Classic" Silverado K2500 8.1L gas, Allison 6-speed, 4.10 axle. Crew cab, long bed. Chevy says will tow 16,000 lbs. Bought it new, it has always been reliable, I use it to tow a camping trailer, often quite far. Not using any more oil than it always has. 120,000 miles. Everything stock and original. Is it time to replace? Anything new with same capability and size will cost lots! I need reasonable reliability.
I agree with Suzuki and Mark 13, you should keep it if it does the job and still runs well. You will most likely have a more reliable Chevy with the one you have than a new one.
You bought it new, so you know how it feels and reacts. If you feel it's still smooth and doesn't choke, I would say keep it.
I agree with Suzuki. If it does the job, hang on to it. You could very well get worse reliability out of some of the newer Chevys and man they are expensive!
KEEP no questions asked... enjoy watching your money pile up instead of buying a 50k truck
If it's treating you well then keep on truckin' !
But at the first sign of trouble .... well lets just say have a plan B
