I recently bought my first car (2006 v6 4.0L 4Runner 2wd 124,000 miles). I have changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, and cabin air filter. Is there anything else I should be concerned of changing or draining. Thanx!

Were the spark plugs ever done? Also you may want to consider a transmission drain/fill (not flush) if it has not been done in a while.

The older gentleman I bought it from didn’t change much on the car (duct taped the sunroof bc it was leaking), fixed that issue tho. And I don’t think he changed anything at all, except the oil/oil filter bc the air filters look like they were in there since he bought the car(2008). But yea that was what I was thinking of doing with the transmission fluid but haven’t thought about sparkplugs. Thanks!

Wish I could find a mechanic in my air who will do a drain and fill. Everyone wants to flush.

Clean your battery good, or change it if it's old and under spec. Keeping a healthy clean battery is important.

I’m not sure what the TOS says about promoting another website. But https://www.toyota-4runner.org is a great forum for 4Runner owners to ask questions as well as here.

Don't forget to change the rear dif. fluid and grease the u-joints if they have fittings.
