Check Engine Light Honda Accord 2007 I4 After Starter Replaced

Hey Scotty,

My 2007 honda accord with 170k miles just had the starter go out. My understanding is that they had to pull off the intake manifold to get to the starter. A couple days after getting it fixed, the check engine light came on. I used the scanner at auto zone to pull the code and it was P0240 (catalytic converter inefficiency). Could they have missed something putting things back together when the starter was replaced causing that code?

Thanks.

P0240 is a Turno code and I don’t believe your car has. If you mean the P0420, it is related to the catalytic converter efficiency. Erase the code and fill up your tank with higher octane gas for couple of times and pray it won’t come back. Otherwise, follow the recent Scotty’s video on how to clean it.
