Check engine light P1153

Hi,

I have a 2011 Subaru Tribeca with 110k miles on it.

This morning, I was driving on the highway and I had a check engine light with the following trouble code:

P1168, Old

02 Sensor Circuit

Range/Performance(High) (Bank1 Sensor1)

I didn't notice any difference in performance. The throttle response is good and the idle is good too.

Do I have to replace the oxygen sensor on bank1 to solve the problem, or could it be something else?

Thank you.

Are you getting both P1153 and P1168 codes?

No only P1153.

OK, heading for your post says P1153 but the body says P1168.

You are right, my bad.

Severity for these fault codes are listed as highest (repair immediately). Description of P1168 includes wiring fault or bad O2 sensor as possible causes. (For some makes there can be different specific meanings for this code but Subaru does not appear to be among them.)

P1153 appears to be related:
