I've got the "Check Parking Break System" and Engine Management Light illuminated. The parking break seems to be working fine though so I'm puzzled! The cruise control and speed limiter also does not seem to work when this is on.. I guess they are related?
Is this common on Toyotas?

I have same problem with my car.
but I turn engine off on for ervel time and the lights and check parking brake system go off but after one day or tow days come back again.

I might just swap out the MAF sensor and see if that works. The light has gone away on its own and hasn't come back yet so I might wait a bit. Maybe a 'one-off' issue? Noticed my brake fluid was quite low too so I topped up. Wondering if that could have set off a chain of errors...

I'm guessing (based on googling) it's to do with the MAF sensor...? (nothing to do with original parking brake system although that's the message that came up on the dashboard).
Did you manage to resolve it? I seem to be getting exactly the same behaviour. Check parking brake system warning message comes up at random times, sometimes it stays on for longer period of time, sometimes after switching the engine on and off the message is gone- i also seem to have issue with My speed limiter. Any suggestions based on your experience would be very welcome.
Just to confirm- brakes are behaving just fine, so as the parking brake. Im puzzled 🙁
