I had a friend in the highschool who drove one and he swore that thing was indestructible. He drove it through highschool and through his 4 years of military service claiming it had no trouble at all.
We're Chevy Astro Vans any good or did my friend just have blinders on?

A friend of mine who is now deceased had one for his parts jobber business. He overloaded and beat the tar out of that thing and it just kept going for a long, long time. Trouble of course is today they are all old and most of them are probably pretty beat. But if you can find on for cheap that hasn't been beaten half to death you may do well with it. (Of course have any prospects checked out by a mechanic before buying!)
