chevrolet colorado or ford ranger
Clarification: Which generation/model years are you looking at?

You didn't mention what year, but regardless I wouldn't buy either....If you want a decent smaller pickup, find yourself a Tacoma

If you are talking about the current generation for each model and need it to last you as long as possible, then neither one will fit the bill.

If that’s what you’re eyeing I’d buy the Ranger if you want gas motor. But that little Colorado diesel isn’t bad.
