Hello friend, I would love for you to give me your opinion, here in Brazil we have the Chevrolet CRUZE, with an ECOTEC 1.8 engine, I hear many complaints about this engine, such as failure in fuel injectors, causing hydraulic shim, breaking pistons and bending the pistons. connecting rods, another problem is the camshaft pulleys that cause a lot of problems, here in Brazil the components of this engine are very expensive. would you recommend me to buy this car? I have many doubts and would like to hear your opinion, thank you very much !!!
Why would you knowingly buy such a notorious vehicle?

I think it's a very beautiful car, here in Brazil there are people who speak well and others who speak ill of the car, as it is a high investment in money, I'm asking people, to gather more information, thank you very much for your interrelation !!!
Unless you’re getting it for next to nothing and you desperately need a vehicle, I’d avoid an almost 10yr old Cruze. The diesel manual Cruze was somewhat decent, but the petrol, nahh. Boa sorte!
Here in the U.S. they are known as horrid, disposable vehicles. From what you are saying it appears that it's much the same story in Brazil.
It's a shame, because it's such a beautiful car, I'm going to give up on buying one, I'm going to keep my Chevrolet Vectra elegance, thank you for interacting my friend!!!
I own one, the TCO on this car for me is 66 cents per mile including depreciation, maintenance, fuel, and insurance.
They are horribly inefficient sedans for its size (corolla and civic are better), they depreciate like mad for a reason, because they constantly break. In the 2 years I've had mine, I've spent $1700 on it.
I believe my friend, here in Brazil the parts for this car are very expensive, in addition to the high fuel consumption! I'm going to continue with my Vectra elegance 2011 even, I already know it well, thank you very much for interacting!!!
