About 4 days ago, I noticed my cars transmission only slightly rattles in Park and Neutral but not Drive or Reverse. It does not hum, whine or buzz.
It's a ZF 4 Speed automatic matched to a 1.8 Petrol engine. Any ideas on what it could be, if its dangerous or nothing to worry about at all.
The car has only done 54009 miles.

I wouldn't worry about it what you worry about is when they rattle when they're loaded when they are in gear you might check to see if a transmission not perhaps is cracked or loose and needs tightening it up

It shifts pretty well when it's in Drive, do you think potholes can cause the transmission to become slightly loose? The UK, especially England, is the pothole capital of the world.
