Chevy cobalt 2010 - I just need it to last another month while I’m saving up for a new car. My head gasket is cracked due to overheating. I can only drive it no more than fifteen min per trip before temp is overheating. My question is I want to try the recommended sealer you suggest doing five to six times letting it run thirty min each time. Can I use the product with only letting it run for fifteen min ea time. Would it still work.?
Don't over-dose those snake-oil "sealers", you could wind up badly plugging up your cooling system. Scotty recommends the Bars Leaks head sealer product in the silver bottle. Follow the instructions it comes with for the best chance of having some temporary relief from the problem. If you're lucky it may even last the month that you need. (Or it may not work at all, those kind of products are a real crap shoot.)
