Hello, Scotty
My names Vasili that's pronounced vuh silly I've been a fan for a number of years. I've done a lot of research on this matter that I'm about to ask you. First and for most I'm a honda guy I hate Mopar chrysler vehicles and working on them. Anyway I keep getting mixed answers so I thought that I would reach out to you and see what you have to say before executing this plan. So what I have is a 2013 dodge dart sxt 2.0 manual shift the has jumped time After doing research found that the tensioners on this motor fail after about 80k miles so car has over 200k And the vehicle didn't knock or make any noise. Any i got everything taken apart.Such as valve cover and timing chain cover on the side of the motor. So i'm pretty much ready to go to work and replace the timing assembly but I need to know if this is a lost cause. I have people telling me aside from the timing assembly also replace the valves And then I have people who say oh, but there might be more damage. It would probably be better if you just replaced the whole cylinder head. Then I have other people who say that it's just junk so what should I do? I really don't have many options right now and not awhole lot of money either. My integra was rear ended just before christmas. I hope to hear from you. I'm glad that you're still around and doing videos and helping people. And educating them and calling out car manufacturers.
Thanks, Vasili
I talked to lost cause it was our interference engine. When that snaps Pistons generally hit the valves. Bend everything you'd have to rebuild the entire engine you'd need. Better off. Looking for a used motor. Realize those things are basically Italian crap. It has nothing to do with the Dodge dart of the olden days
