scotty: I have a 2000 Chevrolet silverado 1500 with a 5.3L that has a ticking sound when you first start it up in the morning. The truck has 130,000 mile on it and doesn't smoke. I change my own oil every 6,000 miles with synthetic oil. I have been told that it's a lifter problem and someone else told me that it was an oxygen sensor or tube. This seems to be a common problem with this chevy engine. Can you share your thoughts on this.

I just left her problems those are known for that the new ones had a bunch of recalls but they don't cover an old one like that, Chevy just doesn't make quality anymore
