Hello,
I’ve got a Chevy Equinox 2010, 6 cyl engine. Awhile back a shop told me that the fuel pump connecting the gas tank to whatever is next has a plastic gasket thing that was broken and that I’d have to replace the whole gas tank unless I want to only fill the tank up halfway forever. I didn’t get a whole new feul tank which was quoted ~$4000! Anyway fast forward many more roadtrips later, I’m starting to have engine slipping issues seemingly caused by some misfirings caught on the scanner. I’m going to run some feul additive cleaner thing you told us to do today and check the spark plugs tomorrow. My question is, how likely is it that the gas tank issue has caused this and how can I further confirm this? Thanks a lot Scottyo.
The slipping sounds unrelated to the misfire. What are the exact codes? What part of the fuel pump is broken?
