Chevy express vs Ford Econoline

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a used Chevy express van or a ford Econoline to be used in delivery, moving etc  as a small business, which cargo van do you think will be more durable used and what mileage range should I look at if I want to get something that would last reasonably. Also I welcome suggestions for other brands which are reasonably priced. my budget is 5k or under.

I don't think $5k will get you a full size van that's in acceptable condition. You'll need at least $10k.

With $5k you can get an Astro/Safari or minivan.

Ford is the better choice. I would also consider Nissan cargo vans (the ones with rear wheel drive).

The Ford Econilines were probably the best cargo vans ever built. It is too bad that Ford decided to discontinue the cargo van versions, although I believe that the cutaway and bare chassis versions are still available.
