I have a question about my transmission, I have 180,800 miles on my car and it has an automatic transmission. My car has a 3.5 L V6 Flex fuel engine. So my question is, when I'm driving sometimes on the interstate it will shift rough whenever I'm driving up a hill/mountain and it's steep or when I'm pulling out from a dead stop on level ground my car will act sluggish then jolt and go. This doesn't happen often and it hasn't happened in a couple of weeks. I always assumed it was because I have a transmission oil leak but that mess still happens whenever it is full. So I rolled out it being because of the leak. My question is, is this normal for a my transmission to act like this or is my transmission going out?

Thank you for your time and help!

Your transmission is going out. Baby your car and do not push it hard.

Well that's always great (a transmission going out). I did some research it seems like the earlier Impalas of the 06-12 generation had bad transmissions. But since I have the smallest engine, that's good. Hopefully this transmission will last for a while longer! Thank you!
