My 1999 Honda Civic DX (179,000mi) has been having issues turning; it makes a squealing noise when I'm exiting a parking space or the garage, and when it does that, the oil and battery light turn on, and the engine stalls (Radio, Lights, and AC work fine)
The same thing happens when the car is idle, but it'd only the battery light that comes on when I'm braking and wants to shut off on me when I'm at a stoplight, and it also begins to shake as well.
(Update)
Check Engine light is on, and car has been leaking a bit too.
I took my car to the shop to get it checked out, and they were able to give the error codes:
P0172
P0108
P0133
P0170
the alternator seems to be on its way out. I would load test the battery and alternator and change both if necessary. The other thing is about your squeaking noise. Remove the fan belt, inspect all the pulleys for the noise. You may need to replace the fan belt too. Clean the MAF sensor as well. Start with these, clear the codes and go from there.
About the leak, do you know what is leaking and where does it come from?
It looks like it could be oil, but I'm not sure. When I got it checked, they said that there was a vacuum leak.
