Just changed waterpump in 2000 land rover disco 2 now have a clicking noise . I have watched your videos but just want to make sure that I can take my belt off start my engine without any further damage being done. This rover is a mess but I can't get rid of it yet ( long story). These rovers are a nightmare to repair

I would not recommend it. Without the pump moving water the engine can overheat relatively quickly. Also none of your other accessories would be spinning and i am not sure how the rover would react to that.
Why do you want to remove the belt? Does the clicking noise change with engine rpm?
