My check engine light comes on intermittently on my 2006 Chevrolet Suburban with a 5.3L V8 with 237K miles on it. I get a code P0356 and after some research, I see it might be the Cam Position Sensor. I also suspect a faulty water pump and I have to add coolant often. My questions are will a faulty water pump cause the Cam Position Sensor to send bad codes? What other codes should I be getting if my water pump is leaking or going bad? Thanks!

Thank you for sending this link. Do you have any other suggestions for a mechanic that can troubleshoot this P0356 code? Looks like there are no mechanics available in my area with the http://www.yourmechanic.com service. Thanks!
