Limited Edition Corolla

Hi, I have a 2017 Toyota Corolla 50th Anniversary Edition.  It's my understanding that only 8,000 of them were produced.  Do you think this is worth considering to keep as a potential future classic? Thanks!

It's doubtful that any Corolla can be considered an investment in anything but reliable transportation.

Toyota did not do any specific thing to that car besides the cosmetics. I doubt it will be collectible.

Classic?

Are you kidding?

a corolla? {blackemo}

Well, today old grocery getters that you'd never think were collectible can go for pretty big $$$. Who would ever have thought that anyone would be interested in the likes of a six-cylinder Plymouth Valiant or Rambler American? Of course it took like 50 years or more, so maybe in 2067 or so that limited edition Corolla will be seen as collectible.

Usually at the end of a body style they make a special trim package or offer a unique color before the new body style comes out, Honda has been doing it for years. I’m sure they aren’t the only ones. I’d still hang onto it forever, if it’s worth it to you to preserve them do it. Limited editions of much older vehicles sometimes have a niche market.

It will not be a future classic lol. Maybe the APEX model or the older XRS Corollas since those are zippy and more desirable, but other than that Corollas are nothing special or desirable. You basically see them everywhere and you can easily rent one from Avis.
