Hello Mr kilmer. I got a problem with my Mercedes c280 2008 . 130000km Codes p0175 p0172 and no body knows how to fix it .. please am willing to change everything just to stop the check engine light from showing every time when the car reaches the normal temperature .. dunno if its the catalyst . Air sensor. Air mass. Plz anything
Do Scotty's cigar smoke test and look for leaks (there's a ton of places on Merc's for this to happen BTW). Fix found leaks and then check MAF values with known good values for that vehicle and if you replace, get OEM MAF only for Mercs.
@hillbilly
Thanx man. I'll do my best hope I can find some one who can. Help with all of it. Am willing really to buy all the new parts. Just to get a rest from all of this

Hi man .hope ur having a good day. My man I need a favor. Can you show exactly on my c280 where the vacuum so I can do the smoke test. Thanx my man
The vacuum goes to many places and is at many places, hence a reason for leaks as so many connections and devices. I like to start at the source, in this case where vacuum is initially created/generated.
Take your engine cover off, then on both sides above valve covers is a breather hose that goes to the back (firewall side) of the engine to the front where your air filters are. Take both of these off. At the rear they join together and connect to the MAF housing (a big hole of about 4 inches in diameter at the center rear of engine). This big hole is ONE of many places you can blow the smoke. You'll have to couple and seal to this hole to the output of your smoke generator (which can be you blowing cigar smoke in a tube coupled to this MAF housing hole). You need to be in a garage or somewhere with absolutely no wind/breeze so you'll be see the smoke before it gets blown away. You'll also need VERY good lighting. And patience (it takes many blows of smoke to find all the leaks) Find one leak, fix it, repeat till you find no smoke. And check for smoke at gas cap and under car (have I said the vacuum goes everywhere yet?).
Now the warnings, your gonna break plastic connectors and other things doing this so be prepared to order/replace things you break. There's no way around this and 1 reason mech's don't like merc's, all the plastic stuff that degrades and breaks of which many of the plastic bits are critical components to engine function. I also recommend you watch many YT video's on "smoke testing engine vacuum". Even if not your model or the method used to smoke test, the point is to give you a better idea what you are doing and how vacuum is used on the car. And when you do it, be prepared to discover MANY leaks on that car (remember all the plastic connectors?) Lastly, find a friend/mechanic to help you. And I take no responsibility as I can not be there to see/prevent issues, including the frustration I suspect you will have, hopefully I am wrong on this part ; )
Keep us posted and feel free to keep asking me questions and I'll continue to help.

How are you man. Long time. Just want to update you on what's going on. Did the smoke check and fixed everything I can see leeks from . Changed the air mass sensor . No more check engine lights pops up . Cleaned the injections new spark plugs ... Still have some shacking in the engine . Tomorrow am changing the engine support and transsmetion support. Dunno what else . Need your advice big brother

Shake at all rpm's? Details please.
Glad you got the leaks and codes sorted (drive it and likely another one will show up to help find next issue). Run high octane tecron in it too.
