Hey Scotty I'm Jack from New Hampshire and I've got a 2005 Nissan Altima with the QR25DE 2.5L 4 cylinder engine with a mystery P1273. I've got a short ram intake with a cone filter, tight as a tiger with no leaks that I can find. I've replaced my throttle body as preventative maintenance that included a new gasket so I can't imagine the code is being thrown from that. I have after market long tube exhaust headers. I've replaced the exhaust manifold twice now so I'm almost certain there is no leak. I've gone through two oem bosch upstream o2 sensors with no change. The downstream sensor is an off brand one so maybe worth changing. I have no catylitic converters, just straight pipe all the way back but the code isn't really catalyst related, it's saying the engine is running lean. I've ran countless fuel injector treatments according to their instructions every three or so tanks. No change. I suspect maybe the MAF sensor, but I've cleaned it and swapped it for another one I had laying around in the parts pile and no changes. I performed the relearn procedures each time as well and the code always seems to come back while idling a few days later. Very rarely pops up while moving at normal speeds. It really is a mystery and I'm sure I've left out some details but feel free to ask me anything and I'll fill you in. Thanks Scotty, love the videos and all your great advice. You were the one who inspired me to follow the mechanic's path and now almost three years after watching your first video I am working as a professional automotive tech. Thank you so much man, and God bless.
big reason I tell people not to put ram intake and stuff on us because it messes with airflow and computer air flow ratio and air fuel ratio all bets are off when you put those on when people bring me those cars I refuse to work on them when they have problems because I do not reprogram stuff I don't have a Dyno with five guys analyzer I would go back to stock if I were you but if it runs okay you could ignore it
