i have a 2005 chevy avalanche with a 5.3 with 170k miles should I change the 8 coils or just dive until one fails then replace going on a trip to fl in the next 2 monthe about 1500 miles round trip.

If they still work, why replace them?
Buy one or two and put them behind the seat, if one conks out, you'll have the part with you. {pear}:nerd:
I did buy an extra ac Delco coil and purchased new wires to put on to take the stress off of coils. I had a problem once before on another truck cap was burning out until I changed the wires
