Looking at a 2005 Volvo XC90 with 123k miles, it's the 2.5 Turbo Engine. Are there any normal common issues with these types of vehicles? Just looking for general input.

This is one of the worst vehicles that Volvo has made. I would run away from that car. Problems on that vehicle are both engine and transmission issues.
You also said that this is a turbocharged vehicle- the turbo on that is probably on it's way out and may need replacement.
