I have a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee 4.0 I went to crank it on a cold start and it doesn’t start unless I give it gas . Once I let off the gas it dies out . I got a diagnosis on it and it came back as a blown head but there’s no symptoms what should I do . I also did a combustion/ coolant test and it came back clear no color change.
what should I do
Who did the diagnosis? Did they even check things like fuel pressure, or scan for codes and live data? The symptoms are not consistent with a blown head gasket. Sound more like a fuel injection problem.
Your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 is experiencing starting issues, as it only cranks with gas applied and dies when you let off. While a diagnostic test indicated a blown head gasket, a combustion/coolant test showed no signs of failure. This issue could stem from several factors, including fuel system problems like a failing fuel pump or clogged filter, air intake issues such as a dirty MAF sensor or throttle body, or ignition system failures related to spark plugs or coils. Additionally, vacuum leaks or a malfunctioning idle air control valve may contribute to the stalling. To troubleshoot, check the fuel pressure, inspect and clean key components, and consider seeking professional help if the problem persists. Keep an eye out for any new symptoms that might indicate further issues.
@gagaly Are you posting results from an AI query? That post has the appearance of being generated at least in part by some kind of bot, which is not something that is welcome here.
Noticed the same thing myself @chucktobias "Copied and paste from AI".
@hixster - @imperator already chastised another user for doing that. Maybe discouraging that kind of thing should be in the forum rules.
@chucktobias that's a good idea. Google apparently posts AI search results above all other results 🙁
