My son has a newly acquired 2004 Chevy Tracker 6 cylinder 2.5 liter SUV, 110,000 miles. (It was gifted to him. His first car.) It's coolant is still green, but dirty, and needs to be changed. However the manual says to use GM 1824-M spec coolant. I don't know what that is and can't find clarification on line (at least clear enough for me). Can you tell me what coolant to use in this vehicle after I flush it with distilled water a few times? Thanks
I have been using regular green/blue coolant in my 2003 Tracker for 18 years with no problems. I change it once a year because I'm nutty about maintenance.
Since the Chevy Tracker is a Suzuki Vitara renamed, would this work?

Whatever was on sale at Autozone or O'Reilly's.
Thank you for your reply. Specifically, which green coolant have you used?
Ok, thanks for your replies.
