2013 corolla 15k auto no codes, CVT transmission.
Hi all, this video is not made by me but I have the same problem sometimes. I accelerate, rev goes up but speed stays or drops. Then car starts to slow or comes almost to a stop. But it happens once in a while. so far about 10 times for the last 6 years. What do you think happen?
Replace the CVT fluid, if it doesn't fix the issue - it's time to dump the car.
A CVT won't last long if it has began to slip.
doubt if Toyota was going to cover anything they just screwed me over on my son's year and a half old Sienna where they won't fix a seat under warranty
What Scotty has described here is very typical Toyota.
IMO, they have some of the worst warranty service,
They're currently refusing EGR / Engine oil-water dilution repairs on brand new cars!
Great Info. I read somewhere the Toyota's EGR is still in its early stages.
They have EGR on all DynamicForce models and that EGR system prone to breakdowns.
Well, it's quite obvious to transmission is slipping. And unfortunately, even though it has low mileage, it's technically a 10-year-old car. So I doubt if Toyota was going to cover anything they just screwed me over on my son's year and a half old Sienna where they won't fix a seat under warranty. I would complain to the national highway traffic safety association. Gov though because enough people complain it might end up as a recall.
Thank you Scotty for your time! 😀
