I have a 2011 Chevy Equinox and when I start the car it shudders then shuts off. It does crank right back up but I have to wait for the idle to set right. When I hit the gas it doesn't give enough gas to go then it shuts off again. After a few minutes of driving it's ok until I turn it off again. My husband replaced the throttle body and the camshaft actuator solenoid. Could it be one of the sensors? Camshaft or crankshaft? Or both?
The car is 11 years old, how old are the fuel filter and air filter? Fuel pressure up to specification? Any codes? What does live data capture show when the engine cuts off?
Most likely either the fuel filter is cloggged or the fuel pump is weak. When did you change the fuel filter?
Start with the basic ingredients first.
Is there enough fuel pressure? Is there enough voltage?
