Has anyone had luck welding a crack on the stock header on these 4.7L engines? I'm looking for someone in the Toronto area that would consider welding/brazing the crack while on the vehicle.

It can technically be done depending on where the crack is but typically a header from a junkyard is a lot less than the trouble you are going to go through trying to to get an old one welded. If you do get a part of the exhaust welded I would make sure it has been TIG welded. This is a more desirable process for welding at tricky angles and into round stock because you will get a better quality weld (generally) with the adjustments that can be made on a TIG welder.
