89 Ford Ranger 2.3L The following have been tested and appear to be good:
- 30 amp fuel fuse
- Inertia switch
- Fuel relay
- Fuel pump
- Fuel pressure
- Runs with starting fluid
- Crank shaft sensor
- Fuel injectors
Most of the above was tested by a mechanic. He left not knowing what it was but said that the problem is definitely electrical. He never came back. Anything else I can check?
In addition to what @yaser said, have a look at this, too -

Not sure how he tested your fuel injectors and said they’re good. If you have pressure in fuel rail and they are firing then it should run. The fact that it runs with starting fluid means your ignition system is working. Find the test valve and see if you have fuel pressure on fuel rail. Take your throttle body assembly off and clean it with throttle body cleaner. Let us know how it goes.
If it runs by starter fluid, you have issues with fuel system. Replace the engine air filter , clean the MAF sensor. Has the mechanic pressure test the fuel line?
