Hello.
Thank you for your works your videos are very informative. Today i hv a question from my nissan navara 2008 yd25 manual transmission. 130000km. Suddenly th car cut while driving and when i tried to start it again i noticed a weird squeaky sound under the hood. Cleary it was from a moving part because it came after n interval. It it neither th belts nor the pulleys because even when suspended the sound still there. Earlier i thought the engine had ceased but fortunately the crankshaft is rotating just with that sound. Its like a sound of metal rubbing on another dryer metal surface. Engine Oil is adequate. Kindly help mi with this. I hv a video just not sure how to share it.
Thank you

I’m not that familiar with the Navara, isn’t it a diesel version of the US Frontier? It’s my understanding Nissans diesels still had timing belts in 2008. I would ask if that is the case did you ever have it replaced?
Just went and double checked. 2008 had a timing chain, however it was known for weak tensioners and premature chain failure, There are also some recalls on your frame for rust issues, just FYI
