Crankshaft Pulley 1998 Buick Century - Belt came off

It appears the crankshaft pulley is not aligned with other pulleys. It has moved outward from block about 1/2" eyeballing it. Belt came off but car engine runs. Not steering is how I suspected it. Can a pulley move forward from block. I can't imagine how without removing bolt in the pulley. What is cost for repair wild guess?

The two halves of the vibration damper may be separating due to rubber deterioration.

It depends if the pulley is damaged.

If it has to be removed and replaced, then it could put up a fight. 1-2h labor + parts.

If it just needs to be tightened down.... less than 1hr.

That's a wild guess. I don't know this car. You really ought to ask a mechanic.
