I have an automatic 2003 Corolla with 280,000km. When I’m in park with the car idling, I hear a creaking/groaning noise from the rear drum brakes whenever the pedal is pressed. It is equally loud on both sides. It gets louder the harder I press the pedal. It also happens when the parking brake is applied. I don’t hear it when I use the brakes while driving and the brakes don’t feel different. There is tons of rust on the underside of the car so I am worried something is seizing. It just started happening out of the blue a few days ago. What could it be? Thanks!
Well realize the brake drums are just steal they rust and they'll groan like that it means nothing as long as they work okay my own cars do that when I don't drive them all that much from rust inside
