Vehicle undercoating or sound deafening spray worth it

no, the rubberized stuff makes the rust worse.

 

There are some waxy/oily based undercoatings which seem to be OK (fluid film, krown etc.).

But it's better to do sound deadening from the interior.


do you mean rubberized undercoating on a rusty frame? I know that would be bad.

Nope, just rubberized undercoating period. If it's not rusted before, it will be after.
water WILL find a way in. Always. And then the coating traps it in there.

That depends on your needs. I always like to sound deaden my cars so I get less road noise, not to mention I do find myself on salted roads now and then. If you live up north, some undercoating with sound-deadening would be helpful.
