I am thinkin of buying a 2007 Honda S2000. It has 53,000 miles and the seller wants $28,500. It has a hard top, which would be of use here in rainy Seattle. I plan to hire a mechanic to check it out with an excellent scan tool if I end up making an offer. Any advice? Could I realistically use this car for a daily commute (but I don't drive all that far; probably around 5000 miles a year)?
Be sure to verify the mileage and if it checks out mechanically it could be a daily driver. Great cars and very fun to drive, though nearly $30k is FAR too rich for my blood on that car.
They are excellent cars and can be daily driven. Ask your mechanic to check the clutch as well.
A 14 year old car with only 53K miles? Sounds very suspicious to me.
Crazy, they only sold for like 32K brand new.
