Creaking sound when braking and driving off Toyota Celica gt t20 1995 2.0 engine
Hello! I recently bought a Toyota Celica of the specs mentioned and I notice a creaking sound when I lift the foot off the brake and when I drive off. If I drive off very slowly I do not notice the sound. In addition during driving if I lift my foot off the gas and I step on it aggressively afterwards I hear a clonk sound. I checked the suspension and the ball joints and the seemed fine. I took the car to a mechanic and he told me that the cv axle was a bit looser than the other one. I was wondering if that is the problem or maybe something else could also be the cause. The car does not make that creaking noise when going on bumps or anything and drives quietly on the highway. Just when I break and accelerate.
Any clues? Thank you very much!
Does it still have its original nearly 3-decades-old engine and transmission mounts? Any play in CV joints? Are all exhaust hangars intact?
