Safely lift car without park or hand brake?

toyota celica gt(auto) 01 wont shift into park, need to jack car without hand brake

suggestions for this debacle? I need to remove the ebrake when I jack the car to access the rear wheel hubs, how should I go about keeping it stable. Shifter is messed up and normally instead of park I use neutral and handbrake

No.

a brick is very light and will shift on you because it doesn't make good contact

Chocks must be wedge shaped in order to work

It’s called a wheel chock.

You can make these using a beam of wood and a chainsaw yourself (the redneck method for desparate car-owners 😀  )

Not a good idea. I use these wheel chocks from Harbor Freight, they're nice and beefy:
