What do you think could happen to your engine if you use the CRO cleaner for an extended period of time? Nothing too crazy. Let's say you drove it for 30 minutes, then did an oil change
If you're talking about ATS Carbon Clean, the product is designed to be used while the engine is idling with short bursts to 2500-3000 RPM, not while you're driving. Instructions say the engine can be idled up to 40 minutes while cleaning and not to exceed 45 minutes.
It's obviously best to follow recommendations of the product manufacturer but if you would like to be a guinea pig and use a different method get back to us and let us know how it works out.
You did not give the year, make, model, mileage, automatic or manual transmission information. Also, what issue(s) are you having with your vehicle?
it probably contains solvents to dissolve varnish. If you leave it in there too long it will start to attack rubber seals and gaskets. Elevated temperatures and engine load will likely accelerate the process. I would use it as directed.
